Shihpoo Puppies

Shih Poos are a mix of Shih Tzus and Toy Poodles. The Shih Tzu is a loyal and attentive lap dog. They are highly affectionate and charming but possess a stubborn streak that can be hard to train. Toy Poodles are highly intelligent and love to be the center of attention. They are playful with comedic personalities. They are intelligent dogs and eager to please.

Shih Poo Puppy Temperment

The combination of the shih tzu and toy poodle means the Shih Poo is a friendly, playful, and affectionate hybrid. They love to sit on laps and receive attention. Depending on the size of the parents, shih poos can be between 7 and 15 pounds as adults. They are courageous, quick-witted, and make an excellent watchdog.

Shih Poo Puppy Requirements

ShihPoos love to play with toys and get along wonderfully with older children. Due to their small size and soft hair that’s easy to grab, we recommend supervision when the puppies are around small children. Shih Poos are friendly and get along with other pets, especially when introduced to them as puppies. They often do well was only dogs as they love their people. Companion dogs require human interaction. If work or school keeps you away from home for long hours, perhaps a doggy daycare would be best to keep your Shih Poo happy, as they love to play.
